Denise Drane

Executive Director, Northwestern University Program Evaluation Core

 

Denise Drane is the Executive Director of the Program Evaluation Core. She also holds the position of Senior Director for Research and Evaluation in Northwestern’s Searle Center for Advancing Learning and Teaching. She holds a PhD in Speech and Language Pathology from Northwestern University and a masters degree in Public Health from the University of Sydney.

Denise has twenty years of experience in program evaluation in higher education with skills in program evaluation design, quantitative data analysis, and construction of theories of change and logic models. She evaluates a wide range of programs at Northwestern including NIH, NSF and AHRQ funded training programs and the Postdoc Academy. She has a particular interest in international education programs and has worked extensively on collaborative projects in Palestine and other parts of the Middle East, Ukraine, Tanzania and Nigeria. Her other research interests include centering equity in program evaluation, developing innovative programming approaches and critical thinking.
